L. E. THAXTON MEETS D. J. BLAST

Hey Mouse Cliquers. Want a treat? D. J. Blast, the Oldies Time Traveler is NOW PLAYING two hours of Lloyd Thaxton (that's me) on The Oldies Super Highway. I say, “Want a treat” because if you’ve never listened to the sound of the oldies on the Internet, you have a treat coming. You’ll hear stuff you remember from the past but NEVER hear on land-locked oldies radio.

I do a lot of talking, but it’s the music D. J. plays that’s the “Blast.” The real treat.

D. J. Blast, who in another life is the dashing Blas Vallejo (Zorro unmasked), has a collection of 60's hits that will astound everyone around. He spent two hours draining every bit of information from my soul until I finally had to say, “Stop! That’s it. Come back in another 40 years.”

If you want to hear "The Birds,” D. J. Blast!
The “Beach Boys?” D. J. Blast!
The “Rivingtons?” Yah! D. J. Blast!
The Beatles? Elvis Presley? The Angels? The Drifters? The Supremes? Gene Pitney? Peter Paul and Mary? The Mamas & the Papas, Johnny Rivers, and many more?

WHOA, DAD! Now there's some blasts from the past with some stacks 'o wax that this gator really hasn't heard in a long time, and I listen to a few internet oldies stations! Thanks for the hot tip, Uncle Lloyd! Great interview, too!!
A couple of friends of mine from other internet oldies stations said they were going to try and get in touch with you, but obviously they haven't. They don't know what they're missin'! Oh well, it's their loss.....and their ratings!!
NEXT!

Hi Lloyd, just got done listening to the whole thing!!! Parts 1 and 2. Wow, that was fun. Technology is a wonderful thing. To be able to sit at work with my headphones hooked up to the computer and work away while being entertained with a great interview and some great (and not so great) music!! I loved the "Russian Bandstand" bit but I gotta say the Martian Rock n roll record has gotta go!! ;-)
Anyway it was a great glimpse into your long career and very fun to listen to. Thanks for posting that for us. I recommend it highly to all the avid Thaxton bloggers!!

Ok....here is my guess about who killed Mrs. Beanary. It has to be Mr. Beanery because he knew exactly where the murder weapon was located. He tells the Inspector that all of the lights were out in the house yet he's able to identify Mr. Rosewell in the dark? That's my theory and I'm sticking to it!

Just wanted to know if 'The Lloyd Thaxton Show(s)' will ever see the light of DVD day. Seems there might be a market for it; what with the Midnight Special shows coming out and the 'Shindig' series, etc...
I was just a mere youth of 6 or 7 at the time but you were one of my influences to becoming a DJ. Yes I blame you! lol
Enjoyed your work with Mr. Horowitz as well.
Peace <><
