JUST AN EXPERIMENT

A lot of people are putting pictures on their blogs. I thought you might enjoy seeing a picture of what I look like today after 40 years of wear and tear. What do you think? More pictures?

Well, DAMN! I think you look pretty darn good, Mr. T! I always tease one of my brothers about his beard making him look older, but on you, well, you look rather distinguished (you are, anyway) so you're off the hook. HA HA HA
More pictures? As we say here in Minny-soda....YA, YOU BETCHA!

Loyd---> leaving the "l" out of your first name means that sometimes it still scares the "l" out of me too when I recall what we (especially you) did during those hectic early live TV daze. Hey, your contemporary picture made me go to a mirror and compare images -- you won.

Nice to see you grew a beard. We used to live in Hollywood, and miss YOU and it very much!

Remberances:

"KCOP, A Chris Craft station."
Dinos, as seen on 77 Sunset Strip
Cal Worthington & His Dog Spot
Radio without micromanaged formats
---and finally---
The ending to the LT show: "My Name is Lloyd Thaxton!" (with the reply from the audience) "SO WHAT?!"

Keep up the good work!

I just spent a "girls weekend" with friends and started yammering about how I used to rush home to watch you on TV. I decided to google you to see if I could find any info for one of the younger ones who doesn't remember you. I was elated to see your pic. You look great. Unlike me, you aged well. LOL

Well where did the time go!
You do look great!
Me and my friends went down to the studio to do a weeks worth of taping on your show from fullerton. we were dancing on the dance floor and you were singing, well think lip singing.
The stage caught on fire. Do you remember that????
Then they went to a quick break.
ha ha ha.
Is there anyway to get a hold of those tapings of the show?
I had been asking around, untill i saw your site.
who better to ask then Lloyd himself.
Take Care Lloyd.
Thanks,
Merril

I loved the Lloyd Thaxton show when I was a teen. (I'm now pushing 60 now, sigh!). I saw Sonny and Cher on the show when they were still billing themselves as Caesar and Cleo! I was watching from small town Indiana & loving every minute of it. Our kids can have their MTV. I miss the music shows that greats like Lloyd Thaxton and Dick Clark brought to the airwaves in the '60's and '70's. And hey, you look GREAT Lloyd!
